It is very nice, you might want to save the title image at a little higher resolution, the text gets a little fuzzy at times. Some more content would also be nice. That said, I wish my first site had been that nice.

I think it's quite nice, especially for your first site.

But yeah, the logo part with the text in the header could stand to be sharper. You might try saving the image as a .gif.

Also, it might be good to make some of the text larger, like the word "Search" in the search box.

Overall, though, it looks pretty nice.

very good for a first design i like the clean professional fealing you got going on, the header is a little blurry though , make sure you export the pic at 100% quality, and maybe change the font for the navigation? and the rollover effect for the send email button is maybe a little too drastic? i personnally like a small effect maybe the color fades out a bit. those are just my suggesttions.

    great job overall!

    Hi,

Meta description: "...for travellers out there who seek hidden places and travel destinations." How about: "for travelers seeking hidden travel destinations."?

Your keyword "travel destination" - how about "travel destinations"?

The sitemap link returns a 404 for me.

The main nav icons are only showing on the homepage for me (using FF 1.5.0.6).

I'd make your header contain html text, and only "Travellers Mind" w/o the ".com". And I'd wrap it in a <h1> tag.

Your tagline "Where travelers speak", is ok, but how about something more keyword-specific? Like: "Share your travel secrets" or "Finding hidden travel destinations" or ???

Your "welcome" intro - I'd try something less wordy and more energetic. First I loathe the use of the word "welcome" - that's just me. Second, I'm not sure how many visitors will take the time to read your paragraph. You've got seconds to convince them to stay so I'd concentrate on punchier sentences in a larger font. Like what's the key features of your site, and their benefits?

Indenting for paragraphs isn't necessary except for a multi-paragraph block. It's mainly used to easily identify the beginning of a new paragraph in a group of them.

Looks like you have one cat for content: articles. Are you going to expand on that? I'm not too thrilled with the thought of reading "articles". However, I would be thrilled (or more thrilled) to see links to Hidden Destinations, Reviews, Travel Tips, whatever categories of content you think you can offer.

On the contact form: "complaine", do you mean, like complaint? I'd drop it - too negative. Suggestions yes, complainers no.

Left nav could use some gussying-up.

All for now; let me know what you think.

    Hiyya!

I think it looks very good for a first website, certainly better than my first effort. (I can still remember wondering why none of my images would show up on the internet!).

Keep working at it, and youll get there eventually

    regards, Debra.

there are some quirks in the nav rollovers viewing from IE 6. Top of header looks like is cut off.

i don't care for the indented paragraphs.

Pages should have a heading above content so the user knows where they are since every page looks identical.

my plan is to go in stages first articles fore some cool places and links from there ill add a photo gallery for the photos (in hand more then 1000 image of diffrent places in asia, middle east and erupe) the asian pictures are really hidden places from there ill see what the site potentials if can expand it i will if not ill just keep its current status.

by the way if there is suggetions or recmondations regarding services you think it will be good to have it in the site please shoot.

    thanks

Use a dark green color for the logo text . Now its too bad.
Use verdana or arial or tahoma for the text...
Search-- Coming Soon! ??? .Remove this and place when code is ready.

    Nice work ....

    Very nice work,
Clean and simple design. Rollover menu images are great i think
My only qualm with this website is the font, haven't seen many websites with that sort of font on them.
This style of font is usually good for reporting, but i thikn you are far better off going down the "arial" path..

    Hi,
For a first timer it looks way too good..here are couple of small things i noticed:
    1. Add the &copy; symbol at the copyright text, that would look good
    2. Try to reduce the font of the copyright text
    3. Try to play around with css for your navigation bar

    HTH

That's a really nice design for a first site. Its better than some peoples third, fourth, or even fifth efforts.Did you borrow anything for that design?
