    window.navigate problem

    Hi,

    I've got this line of code in an if-then-else statement in an external js file...

    window.navigate('login.htm');

    IE works fine with it however each version of Netscape I try fails (they say "window.navigate is not a funtion").

    I even tried using window.location instead but nothing worked with that one.

    I could just ignore it, because the page is going on our intranet and IE is the standard at our institute but I realise that isn't a very good practice so I'd rather get it sorted out.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Regards,

    Dan

    window.location.href = 'newpage.html';

    Always use that to change page location.

    It's embaressing how simple that solution was, I was kind of hoping it would be a little more complex.

    Thanks for your help, jkd.

    If in doubt with something like that - just
    check the w3c standards - and if it's a netscape problem
    go to their resources to see if the window object has
    that property, in future.

    Good luck
