Installing PHP4 on Redhat 6.0 Apache
Alright, i've been following the article in here to go about and set this up properly. all is fine and well so it seems for the install and make and make install portions, at least nothing jumps out and says ha ha try again. Not until i have to restart the httpd daemon. then it gives this bit of info.
Shutting down http: [ OK ]
Syntax error on line 70 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
API module structure `php4_module' in file /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so is garble
d - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?
did i mangle the file somehow and not know it? been trying to get this stupid thing to work re-install after re-install and finally decided to ASK what i should have the first time i did the installation. what does this mean?
for install config's i did this:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/php --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes --enable-debugger
mysql is already installed and tested perfectly.
suggestions both on board and icq are greatly appreciated.
