    Horizontal UL Alignment problem

    Hi all,

    At my test site, http://www.chrisbartlett.net/bi3 you'll notice that the left side links have been pushed below the 4 image links towards the top.

    Basically, all I want to do is center those 4 images on the page, but I can't seem to do it. I've tried padding, margins, clearing floats, the whole nine... But I am missing something.

    Help! Thanks!

    Chris

    Try adding this to #logonav

    position: relative;
    left: -50px;

    You can tweak the left setting if needed to center it.

    Thanks! With a little tweaking, that did it. Two other questions ... By doing this, the site looks good in FF, but in IE (7 at least), there is a larger empty area on the right than the left. Any thoughts?

    Also, in the center DIV where all the text is, once it gets slower than the links on the left it pushes out to the outer wall. How can I stop this from happening?

    Thanks!

    Chris

    The gap in IE, maybe a miscalculation of the #logonav total width?

    To stop the wrap under #navigation, try "#content p{margin-left:100px}"

    Hi Erik,

    Thanks for the ideas. Regarding a miscalculation, it's not that because it's right in FF. So it has to be a bug in IE.

    I thought of adding the content margin that way, but just as an example of why that won't work is what you see now. See what happens when I add a lone anchor in there? Same if I added a static image.

    Is there another way I am missing?

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Edit:

    Nevermind, I got it all worked out. Thanks, all for pointing me in the right direction!
