ruby path set incorrectly, or multiple copies of ruby installed?
I am working from "build your own ruby on rails applications". Everything was working well for me, until i tried to set the path to mysql. did so by setting it in .bash_profile. I may have accidentally changed something else, but this is the last thing i remember doing before ruby started behaving strangely. when i try to fire up ruby script/console i get this error:
./script/../config/boot.rb:18:in `require': No such file to load -- rubygems (LoadError)
from script/console:2:in `require'
I believe this is due to an incorrect path setting.. but it might also be that i have multiple copies of ruby installed?? because i can generally get the ruby command to work now by typing /usr/local/bin/ruby or /usr/local/bin/rake db:migrate. Any help greatly appreciated. I am on Mac OS X, and am fairly new to Terminal/UNIX. thanks
