A question about physical location of a business

Scenerio:

I register as a foreign corporation in a state other than where I live.

I am an Internet ONLY business (meaning no physical store).

My site is hosted on servers in the same state that I am registered as a foreign corp.

My business taxes are filed by a CPA located in the state where I am a foreign corp.

The products that I sell are manufactured in the state where I live, but are sold through the site where I am a foreign corp.

Question: Where is the physical location of my business?

34 glances but no responces...not a concern of internet businesses? Some how I find that hard to believe, esepcially with the Streamlined Sales Tax program (read: Internet Tax) being aggressively pushed by a growing coalition of state governments.

Well technically you don't have a physical location.

But you would do business under the laws of the state that you incorporated in and I assume that all mail would be sent to that state as well.

I belive that your physical location should be the state where you live. In the new state you have registered as a foreign corporation, you should have given resident information of the state where you're living. I belive that your physical location should be the state where you are living.

The whole point of incorporating is to create a legal entity that is completely separate from the person.

Your statement is like saying Chrysler's physical location is Aruba because Lee Iacocca lives there and he runs the company. It doesn't work that way.

It would be whatever address is registered as the official corporation address, in which you receive tax forms, etc.
