I have some questions about making accessible pages from Excel documents.
The site I started maintaining has a number of pages which give metrics for various things in the organization. The person responsible for these metrics uses MS Excel to create them and the associated graphs and charts. Currently I save the spreadsheet as html, discarding the html and using the .gif files created. I link from an html page to the image, and then update a separate file which contains the long description.

As you can see this is not exactly the most efficient way to do this for a large number of metrics. Compounding that is the fact that the .gif files generated by excel are fairly erratic and often truncates data.

Does anyone have a suggestion for doing this better?
