3 Phase Meter Engineer
About the Role Ganymede Energy have several exciting opportunities working within the Whole Current Metering Industry on a full time 37.5 hour a week contract – permanent basis. This role is with a widely recognised name, who have thousands of commercial customers who require bespoke metering services on their sites. Whether it be a meter exchange, upgrade, install, investigation, Whole Current Engineers are the face of the business are key to delivering Government set targets. The main purpose of the role is to carry out metering tasks including those of a complex nature to satisfy client requirements and provide technical support to the team. We are currently recruiting a Senior Authorised Person / Permit Officer to join their team on site. The Senior Authorised Person position come with a day rate of £500.00 to £550.00 per day. Key skills Ensure that relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and, in consultation with site management, HSE and Commissioning team, that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable. Ensure that adequate precautions are taken to provide safety from the system whilst construction / commissioning work is carried out. Oversee installation of the HV switching equipment 33Kv and LV switching equipment. Oversee the energisation of the equipment. Responsible for switching operations on the HV and LV switch gear and boards supplied by Contractor and Contractors. Lead the log-out / Tag-out office and coordinate all permit to safe work on the installation. Liaise with the District Network Operator (DNO) and Independent Connection Party (ICP) on all aspects of connections and switching on the network. Participate in site meetings and work closely with Commissioning to ensure full understanding of the testing program.
