I planning to migrate a site from Mambo
Joomla and Wordpress are both options for the new cms and I am still undecided between two.
Both have their pros and cons
One of the major thing lacking in Joomla is comment support, user interaction is a must now for every website and the commenting support should be in Joomla core
Yes, there are 3rd party components for that but they are not as robust as one would want them to be
another big problem with joomla is the non-uniform URL structure that produces duplicate content. i.e. if you publish a category from a menu than the articles will have different URL and if you publish the section containing that category than same articles will get different URL
Well i would like to go for wordpress because its easy to use and we can do better SEO in wordpress using plugins
I have work on both and produce good results on both , So i don’t think its matter a lot for SEO. If you asked as a developer then i definitely goes with Word Press.
i always using joomla. joomla is one of the best CMS. it has many different plungin and easy also to use. i dont know exatly but some of my friend said joomla web site can be more seo friendly. i feel joomla is more fast then wordpress.
Both are SEO ready, both have plugins to use for SEO, and both have different functionalities. Wordpress is much more convenient and easy to use when you’re into blogging. But if you’re website is into e-commerce and company use, Joomla would be perfect for those aspects.
Many of the methods to build an SEO does not always depend on the same CMS (like Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal etc. …). But I think the two most important SEO is a high-quality content and quality do follow backlink. I think Joomla and Wordpress are great SEO features.
Wordpress is definitely more SEO friendly then Joomla. Google just loves Wordpress.
i prefer wordpress because it is easier to customize and maintain.
I would go with WordPress because Google loves WordPress Blogs.
Wordpress for me is much better because it easy to use or easy to manage wordpress got it all specially for SEO.
Exactly but I just started another thread about SEO Web designers now starting to use Wordpress as a CMS platform
I think wordpress is more seo friendly than joomla, just my opinion
fOR seo BACKLINK is the major factor , Its is not important which you use wordpress or joomla!!
Both are best it completely depend upon your work what you have to create.
It seems like from what I’ve heard Joomla displays some content using tables which, if I understand correctly will make it worse for SEO. I personally prefer Drupal though and have heard that it has helped some people with their SEO.
As long as you have good backlinks and appropreiate content and keywords it doesn’t matter which you use.
Both are good
Wordpress and Joomla are both setup relatively well for SEO purposes in that they have pretty clean site structures and they won’t cause you any indexing problems.
You need to enable the right settings in Joomla and wordpress to get some more SEO friendly URL’s, but apart from that, they are a nice solid base.
both, all depends on how to do SEO
Neither WordPress nor Joomla have anything to do with SEO. Its like asking whether cars or boats are better for SEO.
SEO has to do with links and content, not what framework you use to hold the content.
