To my astonishment, I found that new content appears on Google only minutes after I upload it, and am totally baffled as to the why and how.
Until recently, it took on average about two weeks to get indexed, and at first I thought it was coincidence and due to uploading moments before my site hit the cicle,
I have checked it over the past 3 days, and every time it showed up almost immediately. My serp results are quite good, though not spectecular due to heavy competition, and my decesion to keep the site purely organice e.g. no link buying, no profesional promoting etc.
Have Google changed something about their indexing, or have I just struck gold?
Google changed a lot of things in the past 6 - 10 months to their indexing strategy, ranking algorithm, etc.
Usually takes minutes now for your site to appear in the results, Google also claiming that for large traffic sites (e.g. Twitter) the indexing happens in real-time.
I have a blog and I do too see my newly published posts pop up a couple of minutes later in Google’s search results.
In this age of Internet, a week is like years in human life
That’s good news, makes testing strategies a whole lot easier.
off course it’s right because loves the new and updated content if you upload new content on your website it will crawl fast by crawler it helps to improve our website visibility in search engine
Now a days,if your website has quality and unique content then there is no need to worry you about indexing pages in Google because they will pick automatically with in very less time.I saw these examples on my blogspot posts.Just after submitting I found my blog pots in Google index.
In the recent update of Google Algorithm know as Google panda, Google has updated that he likes the new and fresh content on Web page and this will help you a lot to get well rank in search engine.
I appreciate all the comments, but it seems that my question is being misread.
I am puzzled by the SPEED at which my site indexes, and am looking for answers to that, NOT about the level it indexes at.
I have noticed this as well, mainly with sites that I update often and that are running on WordPress…Google seems to love both of those things
I’m afraid I’ve no idea, but I expect you’ll get help if you ask over in the WordPress section of the forums. Good luck.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t work either. When I post a question, it comes up as “anonymous” and the thread is closed immediately so nobody can answer.
Another reason might be the age of your domain . Which can determine the trustworthy of your site & its indexing.
That’s really weird - if you can post in one part of the forums, you should be able to post in another. I’ll ask one of the Mods to look into in and/or move your post.
Just for the record, my question is in the wp section of this forum, it is the wp forum that doesn’t work either.
Recently I also see that My New Content will appear in Google within 5 Minutes I don’t know how possible.
But I THINK IF ANY BODY UPLOAD HIS SITE EVERY DAY THEN IT WILL HAPPEN
Google is indexing fast But From last 1 month Google has not Revisited my website . Can any body tell me expert advice on this issue to solve .
The frequency of content uploads is definitely a major factor for the index frequency. However, I don’t see why Google would decide to spider part of my site every minute when my upload frequency is below twice a day on average. Not complaining though
That’s a high upload frequency compared to many sites. I’ve seen threads from this forum get indexed in a matter of minutes.
You can install a bot tracker (or have a look through your server records) and find out for yourself how often the google bot is visiting.
Before I ran into trouble with the messed up setting, my blogs were indexed in about one minute. I first thought it was some sort of buffer or cache on my computer that displayed it. I then tested it by uploading a new uniqued bit that I had just written, and drove to a completely independent computer 10 miles away. Took me about half an hour in stead of 1 minute, but it showed up there too.
Is there any practical use other than ego satisfaction? Is there any proven relationship between spider frequency and serp ranking or other tangible benefits?
We’re definitely talking about your pages showing up in the google index right? I’m confused by the mention of ‘10 miles’ and ‘independent computer’.
Yes, it would answer your question about how often the google bot is indexing your site.
There is no connection between how often you get spidered and how well you rank.
Yes, absolutely sure they are my pages.
Independent as in: different owner, different address, different isp, differrent lines etc. Absolutely no chance it would show up on the Google serp other than it being listed there by the searchengine.
