Can someone please tell me, how I can make the background of this template: http://www.templatesbox.com/premium-templates/website-templates/template349.htm? On the header where it is brown and dusty, is what I am wanting to know. I know most of the header is a photo, but I know there would be a tutorial of some sort to make the dust. I need a tutorial of something similar or the same please. I have searched Google for a tutorial, but now have given up because I am getting nowhere. Any help will be appreciated, even just to lean me in the right direction. I am wanting to make the brown and dusty effect in Photoshop. Thanks in advance.
in photoshop
fill background color with brown
render clouds (background color darker than the forground color)
filter noise (adjust it depending on the sand gains your after use monochromatic)
filter gaussian blur
use the burn tool to darken some parts
use the the dodge tool to lighten some parts a nice soft brush targeting the midtowns and an exposure of about 10 % will do the trick
Also you might need to render lighting effects it

I notice there are lines in it just draw the lines on a new layer above and set the blending mode to overlay
You can also add a new layer, fill it with 50% grey and set it to multiply. Now you can perfom stonedefts steps and be safe!
