On one of my wordpresses a listing of incoming search terms/keywords is listed. Does this work favorably for search engines? Or would it look more like I am intentionally putting key words on my page? I am just wondering if I should implement in my other websites? (these are wallpaper websites).
If I’m honest with you I doubt it really matters. Even if it were for SEO purposes keyword stuffing has been dead for years now and Google has grown up enough to ignore keyword stuffers.
If you think that it helps the users to have this plugin then don’t let Google stop you.
Thank you, another question, one website I have runs on coppermine gallery the other wallpaper website runs on wordpress. Do you think google treats them differently? Wordpress seems to be much more optimized for google, but does it really help? I much prefer coppermine as it is a much more userfriendly experience. All wordpress wallpaper blogs I see just seemed to be optimized for attracting hits from google, not actually creating a user friendly experience.
This is a common question with quite a simple answer.
No.
It’s a common myth that WordPress and Blogger sites are more likely to rank well on Google, because they are both blogs. However, the script that they both use is irrelevant. The reason why these types of sites get crawled more often is because they are both blogs, and blogs by their very nature will frequently add/refresh its content.
In the instance of a wallpaper website I’d be inclined to say that it really doesn’t matter. Ultimately, it’s down to whatever product is best for what you need.
If Coppermine feels better then go for that. There is little to no SEO benefit for using a blog script like WordPress over any other platform. What matters is what Google can see, and in your case that’s the image and the accompanying content.
