Do not use godaddy.com

Sorry. But i dint find any wrong about godaddy. So I cant say anything wrong about go daddy.

Yep.

I use dotster for my domains, and I host my sites (and clients) with my VPS.

Collecting or searching for more information on a provider is always best. This would somehow save you a lot of time and money in the future.

I’ve worked with clients with godaddy sites. Nothing really wrong with it – they make things harder for some of us by trying to make things easier.

I will always prefer my host and registrar (liquidweb and netfirms)

Godaddy isn’t horrible in terms of their service - any time I’ve had an issue it’s usually sorted out in a couple hours, and never more than a full day. I do agree that they use an overcomplicated interface, and have definitely applied some Whitespace Eliminator to their website. Their value really is in the domain name costs, and if you need a few for cheap they’re probably the way to go, but there are easily more appealing hosting packages available elsewhere.

I have a few domains there, never had any issues.

A friend asked me many times what host he should go for his new blog. I always tell him go with Bluehost but alas he went to Go Daddy with only 3 month contract. I’ll try to update this whatever his experience will be…its just been 3 weeks.

Ops i am a fan of Godaddy.

I have over 100 domain names with them.

There are the one of the cheapset domain seller and also provide hell lot of goodies(domain control etc) with the domain.

Hey forget to say Every time i get good discount using promo codes.

I recommend godaddy for domain registration and they no 1 domain sellers.

But i don’t recommend there Hosting service as hosting account need online customer service and they lack in it. They take 24 hours to get back 2 you.

For domain registration, yes.
For webhosting, no.
They have allowed hackers to gain access to thier servers several times. In one instance they allowed the hackers to access login and password information for FTP access for thise users.
I had my website deleted “accidently” by thier techs as they honestly did not know what they where doing. I had to walk the tech through the process of restoring access to several of my folders as he did not know how to set permissions, and yhis is the person who is supposed to be doing it for a living.
Stay away from them for hosting, they are just not worth it.

I have registered domains with several companies and godaddy is the worst.

Recently a renewal came up and they took it upon themselves, to register every one of 6 domain extensions where I had registered just the .com last year.

GoDaddy charged $168.76 USD instead of $9.17USD

I have emailed their support division and despite the email saying they would be in touch within the hour, I have heard nothing. Because they have not even the decency to reply, I am passing the matter to my lawyer as quickly as, I am sure, they would, if the “boot were on the other foot”.

It’s one thing to be good at something and certainly many of you have said they are good at domains. But when they bill you for something you haven’t ordered and don’t want that is unacceptable and, in my view dishonest!

I think it is interesting also, that the guy who was supposedly from GoDaddy in pages 1 and (I think 2) of this thread, hasn’t been around since. Makes me think he was more interested in damage limitation than in actually trying to address the concerns shown here. But,then, that’s what customer service is about - damage limitation.

Hi,

Godaddy’s hosting service doesn’t meet my expectations. very disappointing!:injured:

FxSystemHosting
forex-metatrader-vps

I used NameCheap instead of Godaddy. I find Godaddy expensive.

Yeah that sounds like Godaddy.

I hate when you try to use their shopping cart and they try to distract you then slyly add tons of stuff to it WTF…
Like I want 6 versions of a domain name?

I am with godaddy from the past 2 years

And i am having several domains names

and frankly speaking i like godaddy.

they are cheapiest domain names sellers until now what i have seen

and they mails you the new domain names also through email

so my relation till date is very good

I think hostmonster is better

Hostmonster is expensive!

There are good and bad sides with GoDaddy. I have some bad experience with them regarding hosting yes. Once their sales person lead to buy a VPS telling me it has a feature which it didnt. Same was once for a shared hosting.

Yet I would say GoDaddy offers very cheap hosting and domains.

SORRY!

This “bashing” thread is going all over the place. It’s clear that most have a problem with GoDaddy’s HOSTING (the topic of this board) and the domain discussions are inappropriate (FLUFF!). Therefore, I’m closing this thread.

Regards,

DK
