Best Web Hosting?

Anyone know which is the best web hosting???

The best hosting provides excellent customer service, doesn’t crowd their servers and most importantly fast.

I use Greengeeks for many years now. They’re really good. And if you have cash, you can go with Beyond Hosting too. They were excellent.

While choosing the web hosting, please keep the following points in mind:
-Uptime Guarantee
-Customer Support
-No Overselling
-Uplink Port - 10/100/1000Mbps
-Remote Backups
-Reliable Host
-Security
-Good Reviews

That’s a very vague question, kim589. The answer would depend on your requirements. For example, are you looking for shared hosting or a VPS? Do you want it based in the US, Europe, somewhere else or does it not matter? Do you have any other special requirements, such as SSL certificates for e-commerce?

There’s not such thing as a best host. There’s only the best host for you.

While choosing the web hosting, please keep the following points in mind:

The uptime guarantee isn’t worth anything when you actually need to take advantage of it, given that at best you’ll get a full refund for the month when your site was down for too long.

-Customer Support
-Uplink Port - 10/100/1000Mbps
-Remote Backups
-Security

All those things are easily advertised, but their actual quality can be all over the map.

-Reliable Host
-Good Reviews

These two usually go hand in hand, with one big exception: when the host has a high paying affiliate program, and reviews become sales pieces.

The host that is providing you at least 99.8% uptime, 24x7 technical suppot, good customer service with affordable cost can be considered as best web host.

I suggest you compare the top hosting providers! I found a good site with hosting information, reviews, coupon codes and more. Take a look at Webhostingmadness.com.

The best hosting provider I’ve used so far is HostGator. Great customer service, never had a site infected with malware, never experienced a downtime. They even helped me with sites that were hosted at other hosting providers! I believe the enty rate is less than $4/month. I’ve used BlueHost, HostMonster and Planethoster which are fine, but nowhere near as good as hostgator.

Sorry, but this is far too vague a question and the pros and cons of different web hosts have been discussed several times at SitePoint. Please search (both the forums and via your favorite search engine), and if you’ve still got SPECIFIC questions, please feel free to repost.

In the meantime, THREAD CLOSED.
