Webhostingpad - the worst paid webhosting ever

  • (mandatory) that you are not the host - I am certainly not the host
that you are not affiliated with the host - no
    • how long you have been/were hosted - i lasted almost one full month
    • whether or not you are still hosted and - no way!!!
    • what plan(s) shared, unlimited

TOPICS: Worst webhosting ever

General Features [6/10]
They promiss a lot but all you have are promisses: for example their unlimited plan only has 10 Gb of space; more would mean you waste resources and they will ban you (didn’t happened to me but a friend of mine who had a website about orchids

Reliability [0/10]
Everyday in the morning and in the afternoon a few minutes the server was down.

Customer Support [0/10]
Horrible

Pricing [rating]
even if they are cheap, it just doesn’t worth it

Space [rating]
unlimited up to to 10Gb:eek:

Speed [2/10]
sometimes was ok; especially when the server wasn’t down

Bandwidth (Data Transfer) [rating]
What you like or don’t like about the bandwidth alloted (e.g., too little, expandable to suit your needs, “unlimited”).

Affiliate program [0/10]
They promise 100$ for each client you bring; what they don’t tell you is that those 100$ are in your account only a few days, untill they are ““finding” a credit card fraud. I even tested this with one of my clients - i gave him my affiliate link and ask him to register from there; the next day they’ve billed me 100$; in a few more days they were out ofmy account for"credit card fraud”'; of course my client’s website is still running on webhostingpad; even more, he paid me for designing his website with the same cc (i asked him) and i had no complains…

So Beware!!!

mess: iulianhi

sign up on there website after looking at there offers they seems to be good.

i even have account with them and they look good to me, if you have so much resources then never go with unlimited webhosting site just go with dedicated server plan.

Sorry but you think unlimited really means unlimited? It is physically impossible for ANYONE to offer an unlimited level of anything, bandwidth or space included. It’s just a marketing ploy to say that you aren’t monitored but you do have physical limits. Bandwidth is exceptionally expensive (may even be the most expensive commodity on earth) and if you go with a cheap host, you can only expect the limits you are forced to being more constrained - you get exactly what you pay for, bottom dollar hosting comes with low cost features. Having such wild expectations and not expecting a fair usage policy is rather a failing on your part.

In the grand scheme of things, for most hosts, bandwidth costs are quite limited. The bulk of their costs are wages for the staff that supports customers, manages the servers, etc.

While it is definitely strange to limit an unlimited account, most hosts will place indirect limits (like setting a number of files you can store, or restrict the type of content your sites may have etc.).

my issues with this firm were related to their frequent drop outs not the unlimited space policy; i know space is finite;).
But still, space related, I don’t think it is normal for a so called unlimited hosting plan to accuse you of abusing their resources if you only use a little over 1Gb of their unlimited 10’s:lol; trafic was close to null…

Really seems a hard experience for you.

mapispev, now you know why I never sign up for anything which claims an unlimited amount of resources. You are pretty much flipping a coin in respect to what you’ll get out of the service. Ensure you check what limits will be imposed within the contract! Hosts which are honest and up-front with their limits are a safer option because you are signing the contract to go with them on the condition that they provide the service advertised.

Wow customers have reported that their site was down for 9 day! How can that possibly happen? I would be steamed if that happen to me!

but then again what do you expect for $1.99 a month

yeah you certainly get what you pay for.

I’m sure space is more easy to manage. 1 Terra SATA only cost around $110.

I think that will not allow to host heavily web site, but customer service shouldn’t depend on the cost of the web hosting service

I am currently with www.chimehost.com and they offer unlimited space and bandwidth too. They clearly state on the website that excessive resource usage will lead to site suspension. So, when it’s unlimited don’t expect to fill your site with gigs of data. Don’t upload content that is not related to your website. A server down for few min is understandable because they might be doing maintenance or it might be your own internet connection.

Many web hosts offer unlimited space but if you their terms and condition carefully, they actually put limit on other things such as number of backups, number of files, and size of each file. All these render the unlimited space offered by them useless and nothing but a marketing tool.

no web host is able to offer unlimited and many hosts who offer say 50gb space and 100gb transfer for $3 accounts cant either.

It really helps to know the pricing of bandwidth to know if the companies you are using are overselling.

Many companies oversell and do a great job however others should never oversell due to the little experience they carry with them.

haha exactly. thats why i signed up with them. ive been using them for over 2 years.

you’re a satisfied client baybossplaya?
