Vote For The Official SitePoint T-Shirt

It’s been a while coming, but I’m pleased to finally be giving you the chance to vote for the new Official SitePoint T-Shirt.

We ran a competition over at 99Designs and I have narrowed the contenders down to three. You have 7 days to place your vote.

The winner of the poll will take away the $500 prize and their design will be available for purchase just as soon as we get it printed.

Important: Only forum members that signed up before June 2010 qualify to vote in this poll.

So here are your options:

Entry 1

Entry 2

Entry 3

#3 all the way

I’m closing this as the results are in…

I hope it is number 3, it has an understated element of simplicity about it (which I love). Sure it could do with being offered in different colors (not sure if that’s going to happen - we’ll have to ask Sarah) but for me, I personally think number two is too busy looking and number one is a bit cheesy (faux ties are kinda silly, unless that design is meant to qualify as the “smart casual” look when you’re at a business meeting with a client!

Oh gods, if only! I really hope #1 picks up, I don’t like wearing generic crap that comes out on mens shirst - messages that have no real meaning…

While the slogan on #3 is good, I really don’t like the idea of walking around with a big number on my back like a sports player / fan…

#3 … Orange is good, but a colour more discreet would be good too.

#3 for sure, no question about it, an easy decision to make, I look forward to wearing it

I like #1 and #3

[FONT=“Georgia”]That first one is really dorky!

I’d have liked the third best if it wasn’t so orange. It looks nice on screen. It would look like the 80’s out in public.

Oh yeah. Well the number on the back sucks, that’s the only draw back. I’m male and I don’t even like that. On the other hand, where I’m from I don’t see women with ties on. I guess there’s a first for everything eh?

#3. No doubt!

I like them all. I vote three; mainly because the saying rocks. There’s nothing but a tie on the first shirt. If I want to wear a tie I’ll wear a nicer shirt. >;)

I like the second one more than first, but third is best. 3 is my vote.

Like baseball teams in the US, they should make #3 the “alternate” jersey. I’d buy 3, probably neither of the others.

I will not be buying any of these but, if i did - the only one would be #2.

It looks like entry two is going to win… It’s kinda cluttered but I guess anything is better than #1 :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not qualified to vote, but need to express my opinion:

no. 1

I love #3 - I would also like it in blue, with “010” on the back.

Fantastic!

The other ideas are nice, fun, and geeky, but I know I would actually wear #3.

I can’t wait to see who wins! This is a great idea.

I like number 3:-)

None of them really wowed me, but I don’t like 1. I don’t like seeing people walking around in gross brand promotion for Calvin Klein and junk like that, so the plain logo (if clever) with Sitepoint name on the back didn’t appeal to me. “I” know Sitepoint stands for more than that, but since I’m not likely to wear a t-shirt to work or a conference no one else who is likely to see it will. I didn’t like 3 for the same reason, only a programmer would understand what I mean by Code. Everyone else would assume its some code breaking or religious cult thing. Two is the only design that’s not entirely self referential, so that was the best of the three.

Damn, Poes geek-shirts are better than mine, I had a Devil sat on a porcelain pot, a Jack-Ass and at the Moment a Storm Trooper Helmet T-shirt (but nothing at all to do with Starwars!). And if you’ve ever seen a picture of me I look like a Geek-master to begin with… I am going to hunt down some wide-stripe chocolate brown corduroys then I’ll look truly awesome.

Out of those three I did vote; the one I chose had a good geek-factor.
