I have an image backup on my previous computer and I need to import the Dreamweaver settings from the old computer onto my new one.
The old computer is no longer working, so all I have is the image file.
I’m running Dreamweaver CS4, fully updated. Any ideas how to import this? There isn’t a way for me to export the previous settings because that computer is no longer bootable 
You should be able to copy your entire settings folder for Dreamweaver in your profile. (look in hidden files)
HM, I have studio 8 but do not see any setting folder amongst the D8, F8, Flash8 folders. Anyone explain further?
You can’t copy the settings like that. You have to go through the registry and export/import the site information.
It does not import any passwords or login information. Other than that, everything else is imported correctly.
The information is stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Common\10\Sites
I’ve just thought, will studio 8 work on Windows 7?
Not sure… but this thread is about importing/exporting Dreamweaver settings/sites. May be best to start a new thread.
