I am little bit confuse on sub domain and sub folder, which is the best choice.
My website all ready have page rank 2 .Now I want create some more section in details. Should I go for sub domain or sub folder? Which one is better?
My another question is did my present page rank will follow in all my sub domain or I have to promote individually all sub domains and what is case in case of sub folder ?
What you thing which is easy to remember sub domain or sub folder from the point of view of visitor?
I would go for sub domains if the sections are going to be large and completely different. You will need to promote the sub domains just like you do with any other part of your site. I think your visitor will bookmark your page if it is a sub or a folder.
From a design point of view it is much easier to just use folders.
Assuming they are all part of the same overall site, I would almost always go for subfolders rather than subdomains.
In terms of how search engines look at the site, I doubt it makes very much difference at all. As long as your content is navigable and findable, Google doesn’t care how you’ve got it organised. Remember that (a) page rank doesn’t actually matter, and (b) page rank is called page rank, not site rank. It’s calculated for each page individually, not for the site as a whole, so whether it’s in a root directory, sub-folder or sub-domain won’t make any difference if everything else is equal.
Using subdomains adds too much potential for confusion, and is in general not worth it. It’s much easier for people to remember COLOR="Navy"website.com/sub[/COLOR] than sub.website.com - if you use subdomains, I guarantee you will get potential users frustrated because they can’t get www.sub.website.com to work.
Using subfolders means it is easier for you to maintain your internal links, and being able to use www. makes it easier to spread links through emails and other websites where text is parsed into links, without the need for an ugly http:// at the start of each one.
Sub domains are DIFFERENT domains based on the Domain Names System,
and therefore, each sub domain will be separate and start with PR0 and you
will have to get links for them just as if they are different names.
The only time I use sub domains is where I have a very generic domain name,
such as, zxcvgh.com, then create:
