One of my clients is using 1and1 and I need to edit the site but I have no idea how to access the file manager after logging into cpanel… Any idea is highly appreciated…

I use 1and1, and the new interface is a bit confusing.
Try looking in the right side box labeled Domains & Webspace. Click on WebspaceExplorer link and see if that is what you want.

I believe in this situation you can also ask for a help from your web hosting provider. You pay them for the service and support so I believe that is nothing wrong if you use that support in your needs.
