How do they essentially HIJACK my Google search and are able to inject
their site into my search results even though the page above does not have the search term?
This happens A LOT and I’ve always wondered how they do it.
When I try the software-dungeon pages, they do have the phrase “Report for part number” in. I still can’t figure out what the site is doing apart from trying to get me to click on ads, but the text is definitely there.
They’re not actually hijacking anything. It’s just that nobody wants to be in the top 10 for “Report For Part Number” (because nobody searches for it) so somebody has to be and that’s them.
I would have thought it would be pretty easy to create a site, or even a page, that could be number one for this search term - but who would care?
