I need to know more about buying domain name for my site. At present I am having a sub-domain of a free host. I would like it to be myname.com. What is the cheap and easy to use domain.
Before buying your domain, you should consider these issues:
- whether price frzed is there or not,
- whether you get full rights of your domain or not,
- whether you are getting domain lock, priovacy protecion, domain redirect, free email account or not,
- whether you will not face trouble if domain transfer to another registrar is required.
- what will be the fees if you fail to renew domain on expire?
Our advice is to go with resellerclub.com for domain registration.
Good luck.
At present I am having a sub-domain of a free host.
I suppose that might be a problem and your free web host might not allow you to host your own domain names.
So make sure about that first of all.
The domain name should preferably contain keywords
if you are having a personal site there is no reason to put keywords in it. even if its a commercial site i wouldn’t necessarily put keywords in it. imo your url should reflect the name you want to be operating under as closely as possible.
Blogger allows you to use your own domain names for free, and they have a help pages to guide you on the DNS configuration, but for wordpress, you need to meet a requirement before you can use your own domain.
It’s a known fact that the free domains are supposed to be the sub-domains which are hard to remember… To start your own online brand with the intention of promoting your brands, then you’re ought to move with the paid ones which provides the consistency of keywords as your domain… I have my domains registered at Domain Name, Website Registration , one of the premium quality domain suppliers with their unique features and reliable pricing…
visit godaddy and search for name you want, then use discount coupons which can be found using google. You can register name for cheap on godaddy!
You could try Google Domains (https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new), or maybe GoDaddy? I know for sure that Register.com has good domain registration, web hosting services, etc.
That’s for google apps, and isn’t technically a fully-fledged domain registrar. It’s powered by godaddy, in any case.
Register.com is excessively expensive. Last I checked, they were charging about $35 for a .com
Well, I know N4ME has some pretty good priced .com domain names and other TLD’s, but since they closed their top level domain name representing their business and now are hosted on a reseller subdomain, it is a bit harder to navigate. The .com’s are like $6.99/year which I think is okay. Could be better, could be worse though.
go daddy is about 20 bucks and accordding to the SEO i have having keywords in your name is important like 9 on a scale to top ten
NameCheap is a pretty cheap service.
If I were you, I would get the .com, .net, and .org of what ever domain you plan to start a business with. If the domain is good enough to own, its good enough to own all three.
You can check resell.biz for cheapest.
(https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new) is not a domain registration site. you can setup your email when you buy a domain and hosting. Always check that DNS record and A record modification option should be available in the control panel.
