Leaving Hostgator

Hello,

I have been with Hostgator for 5 years, and have been content with them, up to now. I have a reseller account.

In recent weeks, their server disk’s keep getting full, which means that all my websites are down, and I and my customers can not receive any emails, because the physical disk is full (not over quota). Every time it happens, it takes HostGator a couple of hours to fix the issue. This is done by deleting some temporary files on the server, but then some days later the problem happens again. I told the support at Hostgator, that I would lookout for a new host, if this keeps happening, because I and my customers are potentially losing valuable business emails, that we do not receive while the issue persists.

This issue happened again today, and I am therefore now looking out for a new webhost, which offers reseller accounts. Can you recommend anyone?

Have you specifically asked to be migrated to a different server or to increase the storage capacity on the server?

No, I have not done that.

Why don’t you give that a shot first. I’m assuming you’ve been happy with everything else about your host?

Hello,

I’m the owner of hostgator, and am very sorry this keeps happening to you.

If you can pm me your ticket number I’ll get this resolved for good for you. Please let me know as I’d hate to lose your business. Thank you!!

Sincerely,

Brent

It seems that you are under good protection now ;).
In any way I believe sometimes you need to move to a bigger solution. That is very important for you to understand that. After 5 years I believe that is something you need to do.

If you’re with them since 5 years … You should give them one chance to offer you better solution to avoid technical problems …

It is now my impression, that they seem to take this issue seriously, and I have therefore decided to stay with Hostgator.

Glad to hear it’s being addressed
