As a webmaster, I’ve always tried to do various internet marketing tasks - from guest blogs - to article marketing - but is it still good for a site? Does it still count has a quality backlink?
How long have you been doing article marketing? And what sites do you use?
I personally no more doing article publishing instead I write blogs and publish them to various sites.
The latest Google update was done with the intention of removing article farms from the search results (or at least getting them off page one and onto page 100+).
Why not its made more popular even before. After google padna update content make a prior in every field.
The article may be modified to latest news and press releases and still be posted in the most relevant sites.
However, a really content full article can still be used as the good technique to build permanent backlinks from the article sites.
I am a bit worried about that ,as heard Google panda give more attention on youtube and facebook,so what will be with Article marketing? Is there any new update about article marketing.
I am not doing article marketing anymore. Its not as much effective as it was earlier. I try to update my blog in place of wasting my time over articles.
Articles still work and should be part of everyones SEO efforts.
Blog and forum posting and adding fresh content to your own site should also be part of your SEO strategy.
The thing is you need to use as many different avenues as possible. This tactics offer long term benefits and over time all of these things will help your rankings.
Article marketing was hit by google panda update. But still you can get visitors from articles sites if you have written good article. Article submission still gives backlinks which can help in ranking. Only major content management sites were the target of Google…
I believe it’s still beneficial and Google still considers it as a quality backlink. You just need to be aware as to what directories you have to submit your articles to as there are directories that are affected since the release of Google Panda issue.
i only do that for backlinks ,and i know that article marketing till now has no substitute to get you backlinks, so thats pretty quick and easy
Just because the major article directories dropped in the search engine rankings, do no rule them out.
The fact is you do not want the article directories to rank high anyway. You want YOUR website to rank high.
Post good quality content on your site regularly as well as other articles with well written bio boxes and thought out anchor text using relevant keywords and you will build back links and authority ranking to your site.
These links will help pump up your website irrelevant of the article directories position in the SERPS.
Add this to guest blog posts, comments and forum posts, social bookmarking, web 2.0 sites and social networks and you will build a solid, long term future for your website.
Also, if you check out the likes of ezine articles, they are beginning to bounce back a little and I am sure over time that, whilst they may not dominate the rankings again, they will rise higher once again.
I would vote the article marketing is still good. I don’t do it to much as I have other methods of advertising products.
Still if your articles are good and a lot of site take your articles from you … that is a way to make free backlinks for your site.
Article marketing is still good. after Google’s Panda update, article marketing is said to have decreased its effectiveness but looking into a different perspective, that update was made to increase the quality of contents submitted. Marketing through articles are still effective if you have quality content in your articles.

Google Panda is the name given to the latest update at Google, which is aimed at filtering out sites that just copy others’ content, whether legitimately or not. Sites with original content do better, sites that copy others’ content do worse. It has been discussed extensively on the SEO forum, so have a look in there for more information.
Until recently, article marketing worked but of late the technique has lost much of its potency. With the Panda update hammering ‘content farms’ (low quality content sites), most articles directories have been wiped off from SERPs.
To me, blogging is a better alternative over article marketing. If your blog posts are original and rich in quality, you’ll definitely benefit from this form of Internet marketing. You must also consider social media marketing, besides blogging.
Yes, Article posting is good for SEO. If you post Article for dofollow sites, then surely you will get good backlink to your website. Nowadays, Search Engines gives much importance for Blogs. Hence, I suggest that you post dofollow blogs and you will good SERP in Search Engines.
Inspite of new Google Panda, it is good to have guest posts, article marketing, etc. It is considered as a quality backlink.

The video seems to imply that google does or will in the future (?) place less value on backlinks obtained from articles that are source on or from article marketing websites.
I guess, if it is working for you, then continue. If you think you can get a better ROI elsewhere, then redeploy your time appropriately.
