I hope this will help you

That’s very true. Links which you create yourself are regarded as worthless by search engines - and that includes most of the suggestions on your list.

Reputable sites will mark user-created links as nofollow, in accordance with Google’s guidelines, as we do here.

Creating links with the intention of manipulating search results is a violation of search engine guidelines, which may result in your site being penalised.

Among other examples there, Google specifically refers to

Large-scale article marketing or guest posting campaigns with keyword-rich anchor text links

as behaviour which can result in a penalty. Other search engines have similar rules.

For a press release to be of any value, you need to have something genuinely newsworthy to share.

Choose high Domain rating sites for submission more chances are getting do follow links, definitely boost search engine ranking.

I don’t think you have understood my point.

Reputable sites will follow Google’s guidelines, and mark user-created links as nofollow. Sites which allow you to place followed links with no editorial control will be regarded as poor quality by search engines, and at best your links will count for nothing.

I disagree that what you have stated.

From my experience point of view if you follow high quality sites proper guidelines for promotion, you will get do follow link.

What i basically want to tell you is that i mean reputable site where you can add editorial contents

I think know you got what i am trying to say

Do you mean a site where your submission is not automatically accepted, but is vetted by the site owners before being displayed? If so, I agree that is a different scenario. Google describes low-quality links as those which were not “editorially placed or vouched for by the site’s owner”. Sites which vet content before publication and only allow quality content or links to quality content are clearly in a different category.

Off Page SEO is link building techniques. There are a lot of ways you can get backlinks but some ways have already died.
Only backlink is not enough, the quality is really important you have to create high-quality backlink for your site. Most high authority site offer backlink but nofollow.
You have to earn backlink by creating great content so that a lot of people link to you. An organic backlink is the most precious backlink that you will get naturally.
Some backlinks can decrease your ranking. So you have a risk.
Increase your authority and trust level, it will more helpful. Try to be a familiar figure. Do guest posting on top quality sites, join forums and try to be an active member, join questions&answer sites, increase your activities on social networking sites.
Thanks.

It depends on whether you are on a tight budget or not.
And is it a serious project or just personal
if you are on a tight budget and it is a personal site, be ready for time-consuming tricks like blog posting, guest posting, press releases,.
If a budget a big enough, you can buy good links through posting your articles on valuable resources, buying links from others good sources, ad campaigns in adwords, etc.

Links which you place yourself are of very little value, as explained already in this topic.

I highly recommend that you take time to read the search engines’ guidelines on link schemes, which are link in post #5.

Bing has simnilar rules:

Yea, I have read it. But very often if you buy links on very valuable resources, it undoubtedly makes sense. Google doesn’t recognise it as a violation. Google violates only gross violations. I think you shouldn’t directly perceive that google recommends.

@janaakil: you are welcome to procede as you please, and risk the consequences.

However, we have many newcomers to SEO reading our topics, and it’s clear that the OP here is new to the area. It is therefore very important to be clear which activities are in keeping with search engine guidelines and which are not.

While I do believe everybody should take responsibility for checking the guidelines themselves, I also think we have a duty to members here to point out potentially damaging advice.

In my opinion, the first step in the off-page SEO is to make the on-page SEO in a desirable manner.

No, you really don’t. Please read post #5, whih explains why links such as these which you place yourself are at best worthless, and at worst may be regarded as a violation of search engines’ guidelines which could result in your site being penalised.

You can start with Social bookmarking and social media sharing, and then can be continued with article submission, directory submission, blogging, forum posting, classified ads and many other good quality backlinks building Off-page techniques.

@vivan I take it you haven’t read the entire topic or you would know why these are not helpful suggestions.

To all posters, please do not simply provide a list of activities without any explanation. It will be removed without warning.
