How to save data from Window XP before 8 April?

Because I have many more data available on my PC and window Xp is Closing 8 april

Microsoft will not be providing updates to WindowsXP after April 8; however, XP will continue to work just as it has in the past. You will have time to transfer your data to a new operating system after April 8, if you wish.

Windows XP doesn’t “close” on 8 April. Microsoft ends support for XP on that day. So there will be no more security updates. But you can continue to use your computer after that date.

Thanks for Advice…

With the code shared between XP and 7 & 8, any patches after 8 April to that shared code will only be applied to 7 & 8 with the patch itself advertising the hole in XP.This will make it much easier to find unpatched holes in XP.

How easy it is to transfer your data from XP to 7 or 8 depends on how you have the data organised and what backups you take. If you have all your data in the “My Documents” folder and back it up regularly then you can easily transfer it to another operating system by simply restoring the last backup.

Copy paste, its that simple, or backup it on a cloud storage. Or pretend youre backing on to another Xp machine, it`s the same

I was surprised to know that windows xp is closing… good thing other members here cleared it out. I’m using windows xp as well. I see there’ll no longer be support after april 8. If I haven’t visted sitepoint today, I shouldn’t have known. Thanks for sharing.
