What is usual CTR on Google AdSense on your sites?
My friend is owener of good forum and CTR is less than 0,01%…
Some templates are optimized for adsense and can capture up to 25% CTR. My CTR ranges from 5% to 50% at times.
A “usual” CTR really depends on the type of site and the content.
Forums have notoriously low CTRs.
adsense on forum is bad, too many repeat visitors, too many page impressions so the CTR is really low as is the eCPM.
On sites, I always target a minimum of 5% CTR, I don’t want to go too much higher but I am not satisfied when it is below 5%.
There is no ideal CTR for adsense. But on average most adsense sites have CTRs in the range of 1-5%.
CTRs of 0.01% is extremely low and is not usual even for topics that are not adsense friendly. Your friend might need to work on better ad placement to try and boost his CTRs.
