Help needed with Pligg Sites

I created my Pligg Clone site about 15 days back.

I have not been able to figure out how to market such sites and get people to submit their links.

Is SEO needed for such sites. The url is here

I don’t find Pligg sites very useful for link building. The lnks may show temporarily, but disappear as fast as they go up. I have found no long term benefit.
