Getting Referral Traffic from a Site with no Inbound Links

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question. I’ve been looking at Google analytics for my site and found that I got 18 visits within a few days from a foreign currency exchange website I’ve never visited. I got referral traffic from 7 different pages on the site, all of which bounced away. I cannot find any link to my site from theirs, either in the content or in the comments. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

It’s a spamming technique known as ‘referer bombing’,
where a the spammers web browser is configured to
send a faked referer header to any site it is visiting.

This basically tricks a webmaster into searching for
the mysteroius link increasing the traffic, page views
and often search engine activity when a site search
is performed in an attempt to find it.

Looks like it worked. At least this time. Thanks for the info.
