Google Analytics weird Referral Traffic

Google Analytics is showing an unusual amount of traffic from this website:

The problem I have is that I can’t find my link anywhere on the site so how is Google Analytics showing that I’m getting traffic from this here?

I wouldn’t care but it’s throwing off my Analytics numbers big time.

Couldn’t it be a advertisement on there website based on cookies? So many people on carolinetest website gets to see your ads?

Google Analytics only shows the root domain of a referring source so it is unlikely that you can pinpoint a particular page based upon the referral report alone.

You can, however, perform a Google site search on the referring domain for your domain name. For example, " [your URL]

This is what I usually do when I get new referring domains in GA that I’m curious to learn more. Let me know if this trick works for you.

I did a site search as you suggested and nothing came up. When I click on the root domain in GA it takes me to specific page the traffic is coming from, the url I mentioned above. I still cant figure out how it can be referring me traffic if my url is no where to be found on the site/page.

Is it possible the link is being added by javascript, so it doesn’t show on the page?

McAfee SiteAdvisor shows:

Not very informative, but I’d tread warily if you visit that site.

Not sure, I’m not much of a coder. Is there anyway to get rid of this? Thanks for your help by the way.

You can block traffic from a given referrer via your .htaccess file. See
