I am wondering if anyone knows of a (hopefully free) white label website builder that I can use to offer clients the option to build their own website?
Basically I would like to give users a simple option to build their own website, so was thinking of something like:
Pick domain - this would be hosted on a temp domain, like abc.mydomain.com
Pick a template to suit their business
Add content to the page(s)
Publish
Obviously, there would be more work my end to do than it being that simple, but wondered if anyone knows of any free tools that offer something like this?
What will you do when there is not a template that matches their business?
What will you do when their business changes and the website needs to be modified? I don’t mean data, I mean a change that make a different template appropriate, except maybe only partially. I am being vague because I am trying to be non-technical but experienced software developers, whether it is a website or some other type of application, would understand that systems are likely to need modifications. Website builders (application generators) might help getting a start but most of them have no idea what you mean if you ask them to modify an existing application.
Isn’t this basically Wordpress? I’ve got a site on there, free, built using the first reasonable template I found, and from time to time I change the content. I’d have to pay if I wanted to use my domain on it, but the rest costs me nothing.
I wanted a quick way to get a site up without having to write a load of HTML and CSS, and now I’ve started giving out the URL I have to stick with it.
