I was trying to burn a Linux ISO image and i don’t why Nero is not burning it properly. But after a few google i found this burning software CD Burner XP which is really good for burning iso images and its not bulky like nero . So i want to share it here those who might having problems in burning ISO Images.
I know there has been some issues with it, but I have never had one single problem, bug or whatever with any of my Nero versions, since i started using it at v3.0.
yes, that includes v9, not a single problem with that either.
I have to admit that Nero comes with a lot of “junk” (maybe not junk, but things i personally find unnecessary like all those multimedia tools, backup etc), but i am talking about the burning rom - not the other apps bundled to it (depending on what version you buy).
As you know, you can choose what to install and what to skip. just because you’ve paid for it, doesn’t mean you have to install and use everything that comes with it.
no matter what software i buy, i try to install and use the things i need, and not all the other things that comes with it, just because it’s there.
but that goes for everything i buy
I wouldn’t stop using linux just because there was a kernel problem back in 99-2k (yeah, i was using it back then), or Mac-OS since it have had it’s flaws, or windows because of flaws and/or viruses etc…
too bad you had such bad experinces with Nero, but it has served me well for all these years.
(i did however not use it on vista, since the only laptop purchased with vista made me downgrade it to windows xp)
Nero is bloated and VERY buggy (especially in recent versions), apart from the fact it takes up several gigabytes (yes gigabytes) of hard disk space and comes with about 20 individual programs, Nero 9 (before they released the Reloaded version) had a minor issue in relation to the “manager program” crashing consistently and a serious issue in relation to the installer to which about 200 Nero customers filed a class action lawsuit against the company because the product literally wouldn’t install and they refused to offer them refunds or deal with the problem (for about 6 months). Their forums turned pretty ugly with the issue and I myself got caught up in the flame-war as my purchased download of the product refused to work on Windows Vista… needless to say I’ll never use Nero again.
i have been using Nero since 3.0 in '98, and think it’s great. it has most of the features i need, i also have CloneCd, which is rarely used - but needed.
