Can anyone recommend the best free dvd/cdrom software I can use for Windows XP?
What is it you want the software to be able to do?
I want to quickly and accurately back up my files.
Nero BurnLite will do what you need. http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nbl-free.php
nero is the best program in my opinion .
It’s not free.
If it’s just burning software you’re after, CDBurnerXP is quite popular–and it’s a freebie.
If you want to back up files on disks, you can try ultraiso
window xp provide the facility to write cd or dvd , just copy and paste data on cd or dvd
Here are some bstdownload.com/cat/windows/system-utilities/cd-dvd-tools/freeware/ you can try from.
Ashampoo burning studio is doing perfect now. Advantage of ashampoo is that it supports Multi-disc file backup and restore on CD/DVD/Blu-Ray.
ImgBurn, pretty much the best free option there is, some say even paid for, looks tricky to use initially, but it was made with a sense of humour lol (you’ll see when it happens), but has very simple help guides to show you how to do various jobs.
I use Freez dvd ripper freeware… You can have a try!
I think the OP has enough suggestions to go on now. Thanks, everyone!
