Feedback for my new website

Hey guys! So, I have a relatively new website https://www.photoshopsupply.com and I would like some constructive feedback about these topics:

  • what do you think of the design

  • what improvements should I make

  • what do you think about the quality of the content

Thank you very much

It looks good. Response is good. I noticed however that there is a slight delay the first time I go to a page. Subsequent views of a page use items from the cache. You might be able to optimize it so the first view is also fast, but I do not know how.

Thank you very much for the feedback! I am glad you like the site.
Yes, I have some issues with the optimization of the site, page speed etc. I will have to make some improvements.

First of all,

The loading time of the images, that are appearing on the main page is too slow,

If we check with SEO point of view the meta tags are not defined properly,

The alt tags and the heading tags are not defined, only 16 alt tags are found which are defined.

No sitemap found in your website.

Touchscreen Readiness: Make the most imp. Buttons/links large enough to be tapped easily.

Your home page has not been widely shared on social networks.

Thanks,

Hope this will help you out :blush:

Thank you for the feedback. Why do you say there’s no sitemap? https://www.photoshopsupply.com/sitemap.xml is that not enough?

Regarding the image loading time, I’m using Jetpack’s CDN for the images to speed things up. What can I do to improve this?

can you please indicate what meta tags I’m missing (I have YoastSEO plugin installed)

cheers!

It is not clear if your intent was to imply that meta tags are related to loading time or if those two are not related.

Is there a specification somewhere that says how long is too long for a page load or is a matter of opinion?

I think something is causing the initial load times to be much longer than it was. It seems that the initial load of a page takes about 40 seconds to complete.

Hey Joana,

Thanks for your reply,

I basically aimed at helping you out with the flaws that I found, so that your hardwork pays you well.

The alt tags of the image should be defined according to what the image says and incorporating keywords into it is an add-on. These tags are basically used to describe what image is all about.

Also, if possible try pushing the keyword to the beginning of the description, as it can help you in improving the CTR from image search engines too.

And Joana, If we talk about meta description – It is important that the Meta description of the webpage should lie between 150-155 characters with spaces otherwise the exceeded characters will be automatically removed in the Search engines.

Hope this will help you out. :+1::+1::+1::+1::+1:
