A few years ago it was difficult to get Flash sites to index and moreso for them to index quickly and efficiently. But now; in 2008; its easy and you can index it fast.

We put up a full flash site and it was indexed in a couple of day and indexed exactly as though it was a HTML website.

The content is read; as if it was a HTML website, the links are followed; exactly as if it were a HTML website and so on.

Whats more, the technique to do is documented in googles developer center.

Use SWF Object to compliment the Flash site. Basically what you do is grab SWF Object and code the sites layout in HTML, feed the content into the HTML from your datasource (same content as the Flash site).

Then use the SWF Object JS method at the bottom to show the Flash site if the user has the Flash plugin.

Hey presto; a couple of easy steps and your full flash website is indexable; in full; as if it were a HTML website; from one page per flash page.

We uploaded this and our site was googled and indexed in a few days.

The only thing that defines how well it will be indexed is your ability to get a HTML website to index as google, non flash and movile device users get the site packaged in a HTML format, users who have the capacity get the more intensive full flash website.

Plus before anyone says its cloaking; google recommend doing it in their developer center; It’s allowed because all your are doing is feeding a different front end; as long as the content is the same or very close, its fine.

For fastest indexing have an xml sitemap that SE will crawl it easily and rank it …

Google always index it automatically after posting but if you are not sure about it…Social Bookmark it…it will be index immediately.

How many days in an “immediately” because I created an XML sitemap per spec, submitted it, social networked to many places. Go a couple of PR4-5 links and all I want is a crawl. :shifty: Hello any SEs out there? :smiley:
