On my site i have some Dublicated content from my blog sites

Duplicate content on your site from blog site? how its happens?.. give more detail explain exactly what happens!!!

Hi dear I want to say that duplicate content will harm your site popularity as well as ranking so please delete your blog that you post and using fresh content that’s help you a lot.

quality content will gain you more ranks in google rather than duplicate content

Thank you for your replies .

If i will delete the content from my blog site ? and leave it on my site ?

For the record, none of these issues will hurt your site.

The use of the word hurt is incorrect. If Google finds duplicate content on your site then the benefit you will get from said content will be reduced. This will reduce Google’s perception of you, giving the impression that your results have been “hurt”, but Google just believes that the content isn’t as relevant because it’s in two separate places.

Google isn’t some sort of punishing monster. It’s just trying to find the most relevant content, just like your users.

Whenever you are going to publish an article on your blog do check duplication thru copyscape or any other tool so you will get any issue in ranking and duplication.

This can actually hurt your ranking, I wouldn’t advise it to copy & paste duplicate content. You can reference it as a source, while you make your own content, but never straight out copy.

Hijacking of this thread is not intended but I do think the following information is relevant.

On one of my sites I have numeric links to pages with lengthy SEO friendly URLs. This was the only way I could get nearly three thousand page links all “above the fold”. The idea of using a numerical reference was to dramatically reduce the page size and subsequent page loading time.

A very small Javascript is used to create a popup window without page header and footer, etc.

To try to keep GWT from complaining, the numerical reference was prefixed with “popup” with a Disallowed reference in the robots.txt file. Also each popup page has a canonical link to the preferred and lengthy SEO URL.

This is quite effective and very popular according to the web stats but unfortunately… even though GWTs acknowledges both the robots.txt file and also the canonical meta link, 6,000 pages are still reported with duplicate web content :frowning:

Webmaster Tools Labs is a testing ground for experimental features that aren’t quite ready for primetime. They may change, break or disappear at any time.

I am very curious to know if a solution is available.

Check your blog with copyscape for duplicate content,If you find any definitely remove that content without any second thought. This will improve your site ranking.

You need to be careful
duplicate content hit my site hard a few months back!!

Thank you for your replys . i have delete all my dublicate content .

Why didn’t you just rewrite it?!? And once you do this, you can ping your blog… You will lose potential visitors and revenue from your blogs, if you remove the content… because doing so, you will definately “delete” your blog!!!

Thank you patco , yes i have rewrite some of them , and i have delete all my content from my blog sites as i had no much benefit .

Okay, you need to refill the web pages with fresh content, then you can better ranking.

A blog is a great way to engage with your customers about your products and services or events so you should set up it again on your website with fresh content as by creating relevant, regular blog updates on your website you will notice an increase in site ranking and traffic after a period of consistent posts.

I think duplicate content is not a good idea you were nearly practicing a blackhat technique and its not good for your site.

Check out matt cuts (google) videos regarding duplicate content it is explained quite well and straight from the horses mouth.

Only quality and powerful content increase your website traffic and ranking. Google not like duplicate content and also your hosting provide.
So change your content and save your website other wise it will ban in short time.

My suggestion is to use canonical tag to optimize and control the duplicate content. On the other hand, I also recommend not to post any duplicate content from other blogs.
