We only have paypal on the site right now, is there a way for clients to pay us through credit cards even if they don’t have a pay pal account?
There should be an option on the PayPal checkout page (in small print) to checkout without a PayPal account. That option is there on my PayPal checkout page.

It depends on what country your buyers are in. Paypal accept direct credit card payments from some countries without requiring the person to join Paypal first but for most countries the person must have a Paypal account to be able to use Paypal at all.
