Best place to learn PHP

I have been using HTML and CSS for the last year, but have found to take the next step I need to be learning PHP.

Where would you suggest the best place, or which books to read, is for me to start?

Thanks in advance

I’d definitely recommend reading books if you’re looking for a solid foundation in the language - they’re far more comprehensive than any tutorial you’ll find online (except for perhaps the official php.net website, though it’s a bit of a dry read on its own). Browsing the popular publishing sites such as Apress, [url=http://www.oreilly.com]O’Reilly, [url=http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/]Wrox, etc, is always a good place to start. Just be weary of the editions of the book - always ensure you’re getting the latest edition!

Perhaps starting with Programming PHP (third edition) would be a good choice. (I read the second edition of the book and felt it provided me a good foundation in the language.)

There’s also books available from Sitepoint/Learnable.

its better to refer some best books and go through the syllable,
one of the book which is know is the SAMS php in 24 Hours
along with books just refer the best forum network for your question so that you can solve your problem as soon as possible and can speed up your learning speed

I think, you can search the Google in PHP courses in which is the best PHP institute in the World and you join the PHP institute.

Hello, Can someone tell me the link or resource from where I can learn basic PHP?
Thanks
