I am new in web development. I want to know the practical(not therory; practical ways) way by which one can optimized his site according to seo. Each time i search about seo there is a backlink term came out. Searching google it seems like baaaaaack link originate from the own site and end in the originate site. If so, how to originate, what tool,etc I am not clear? I want to know what is the concept of backlink?

When you do blog commenting you are leaving a mark on that site, then on your comment there is a link towards your site and it helps to drive traffic to your site. In forums, there is a rule of having a signature links on that forum site then you have to do the requirements first.
as long as it is a white hat there are also a gray hat but never try a black hat where you can automatically send links like spamming. always remember that building links is a continous process, there’s no easy way. it will take months to see you KW rank on the first page of the google but, SERP is now more important than Page Rank. send you links on all marketing avenues everyday.

The basic premise is this: You write something good/interesting/helpful/new and put it on your website. Other website owners like what you wrote and create a link to your page. Simple as that.
backlinks mean someone link your site or page on their site and it helps you to increase your site SERP. imo

I am working with a web design base site over one month. I follow directory submission, article submission, forum posting etc process. But still now, I have not found any fruitful result. The concept of back links, which site have already high ranked and with top 1 to 10 position in google, with a particular category. That means that site have more back links from related category.
