I’ve installed wordpress as the CMS on a few self domains and got a few trackbacks. Primarily they are from automated sites which make posts out of links to other blog posts. Should I allow trackbacks? Do they result in PR loss.
I’d also like to know how to create a blog and blog posts from rss feeds of other blogs. I tried using yahoo pipes yesterday but it didn’t work out.
I personally think that trackbacks are important because they increase awareness of your blog. Trackbacks also make a blog seem more credible. There will not be any loss in PR.
Aren’t they no follow anyways…?

Suppose u made a blogpost about abc and the url for that blogpost is www dot dorothykinder dot com / abc
Now I make a blog post about def and the url for my blogpost is www jhangora dot com / def … Now - in my blog post I mention ur blogpost on abc and provide a link to ur blogpost www dot dorothykinder dot com / abc …
If u have trackbacks enabled on ur blog … Right below ur post on abc there wud be a link to my blog post url www jhangora dot com / def … That link is a trackback …
