Hi all,

Has anyone got any advise when it comes to advertising on my Blog? I have been running InspiredByWordpress.co.uk for 6 months and would like to start making a bit of ROI. Do you tend to wait until you have so many visitors per month? Or do you go straight in with adverts? What services do you use? How best to pricing advertising space in my site? Do you have any other advice?

And advice will be greatly received,

Promote you blog first and when it has huge number of visitors then the time you will think on how to monetize it.

The best way to monetize is through adsense (most of the blogs has it). Then try to do some pay per post stuff but do feed your blog with these kind of posts because you will definitely drive your visitors away.

You may use Google Adsense to get ads and to earn. but you need to obey all T&C of Google Adsense.

Amazing. You have a huge traffic and In my opinion you can earn a huge amount from your blog.

I’m not quite fortunate with Google adsense so i tried Adbrite, it’s quite promising. Or you can find Advertisers for Your Website.

After your blog get popular,you can think of earning from it.

I have around 200 visitor in blog. I use google adsense to earn money.

Target more keywords which has high convertion rates. Optimize your blog for more traffic.

Yeah, I would wait a little with ads. I have my blog now for 5 years and every year I try to tweak my ads for maximum profit. Latest thing I did was installing the wordpress plugin who see my ads and it’s incredible. It now shows a huge 300*250 adsense only to people who are no frequent readers and only on posts older than 120 days.

Hey,

I would recommend you get started with affiliate ads, maybe some wordpress premium theme sites like WooThemes and also add in some adsense as that can make you a few dollars each day if correctly placed and you have a bit of traffic.

You can promote your’e blog with SEO techniques ( off page activity)…
forum submission, article submission, blog commenting, social bookmarking or social networking…
