I was wondering if anyone has gotten any success with YouTube video marketing. I know you can add link to the video descriptions but what about the video?
Anyone tried this and got any result?

Anyone tried this and got any result?
I submitted a 5+ minutes video to Youtube this March, and left a link of my blog in the description, after that I did some promotion work to raise the video’s popularity, and until now I have got more than 20,000 traffic from the video in last 5 months. So I think just like other people said, Youtube is a good way to generate traffic, needn’t to do much work and can get lots of traffic.
Can I ask what sort of promotion work you did?
Maybe I’ll start adding some videos to youtube. That was great results you got
i try it several times at the past, and it bring a lot of traffic
Yes i have tried using Youtbe video marketing as a source of traffic and it went well for me. Youtube is and is still one of the number one sites that fetch traffic for people.
Yes I works especially if you have a either a very funny video or extremely helpful videos. While editing your video you may consider putting your website address in the video besides addling a link in the video description. YouTube has, now allowed users to put live clickable links in the description …so make the most of it.
To get live clickable link you have to put the full URL .
eg. You have to type http://www.chiprang.com and not just www.chiprang.com or chiprang.com
Hope that helps!
Sounds great. Just need to make a extremely funny video Thanks
YouTube is definitely a great way to market yourself, it’s pretty epic to be fair. It does take a little patience and time, but the outcome is beneficial, especially considering how many clicks YouTube gets per day is astounding. If you can work it right and can take the time into doing the work then I definitely recommend that YouTube is the way to go.
Does the traffic from there converts well though?
Do you need to post a vid relevant to what you sell or anything is ok?
Well, from experience I found that the traffic converted quite well to my then-website that I had. You’re not going to get everyone to go to your website, so you’re going to have to make sure that your video sells to the general public, so you have to be able to give traffic to the video too, if you want the traffic to your site.
You don’t necessarily have to make the video of what you sell, but you’ll be more direct to the point if you did, you could just make a brief summary and link them to the site or what not and lead them to more information.
Yes, you tube is very effective channel from marketing and SEO standpoint.
According to a survey videos stand better chance of appearing in top results. A well optimized video can get you huge traffic… but one or 2 videos wont make the difference. Plan atleast 10-15 videos
Moreover videos have tendency to act as link bait.
Users prefer to watch videos for better understanding rather than reading some jargon.
Yes, it can bring you a lot of traffic but you have to make your video prompty. Don’t use text, use images instead. It can be even short, 30 seconds or 1 minute can be enough.
Actually, it’s OK to use text. I have some software that converts my articles into videos, and I just add music (a bit boring but it does work) or my own commentary with additional tips or insights and these videos do quite well. The main thing is utilizing every available marketing channel and leveraging every piece of content you create to the maximum.
It’s fine to use text, and it’s fine to use images. Use both if you wish. Do make sure that you add music too! But yeah, someone mentioned that you’ll need more than one or two videos to be able to start hitting the YouTube market, more the better. Keep us updated!
I don’t know! I really don’t like too much to read in a video. It’s more boring than doing it xD.
Pretty sure images and/or very little sentences are more effective in a video.
Well, considering that note. I think the user should do both, but ensure that their are many other videos. Some involving text, some involving images, some involving video, some involving all, some involving combinations, etc. That way they have more of a brand in their channel for others to check. For me personally I’d rather have some text and images/videos, I don’t like reading too much text - Information Overload otherwise, and I don’t like videos too long.
So target your videos to suit everyone, hence the reason to make more than one or a couple.
YouTube is one of the largest video sharing site, Today each and every video on internet shared by YouTube, so it is the best marketing way for every business services, here you can promote your video related to your business services its really help to your website targeted traffic.
Videos can be very helpful in any business. And by promoting video we can explain people about our business concept in less minutes and some time people get bored to read so if there is video they prefer to see it. So videos are more effective for business and as youtube is major video site.
I think it all boils up to your capacity to SEO your video. Because no matter how good your video is, if no one knows about it, then it will still be useless.
