Will directory web sites bring more traffic?

DMOZ is PR8 and brings virtually no traffic to my sites that are listed. Care to explain why?

If Page rank of directory site is not god , then it can not help you to bring more traffic.

What keywords do you think a directory should have a good ranking for? … or you just postig nonsense to link drop your fake signature (the links here are nofollow!)

If the site gets good traffic it should bring you some traffic but its also good for getting a back link.
