Why does google have to display the adwords ads in an ads section.
I have had a ad running previously with over 1000 impressions a day, today I have 300 impressions but just one 3 clicks.
Lets not go into the whole debate of my ad isn’t good enough, that’s not the question.
It’s a know fact that users will automatically skip over the adverts and go to the organic listings, so why can’t google just put the ads, especially the top 3 in the main listings as if it were normal…
I don’t know what the percentage is, but lots of people skip the ads even tho it could be exactly what they are looking for. Hell…Even I probably do it automatically…
Users can still read the display text and decide for themselves…
If google or matter of fact any reputed search engines begin showing paid advertisement in natural search section, it would lose all credibility. Paid listing are information that the owner wants to convey not necessarily the actual content of the site whereas natural listing information is collected and tested by many factors to determine the authenticity of the info.
This makes the difference and so the SEO becomes an important part. SEO is not just a professional seeking money to make your site have a top SERP but is actually a code of conduct for a site
And it accounts for 98% of the $24 billion or so in revenue? Those figures may be a little off, but if prople are paying for ads, they are paying for prime real estate. Would you pay for an ad to be at the bottom of the page?
