What is the difference between a website and a webapp?

can any one tell which one to prefer?

I think that somewhat web application is a fancy way to say website.

It is possible however to have multiple web applications in a website. From a developer’s point of view that is important. IDEs such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and Eclipse manage projects separate from other projects. Each web application can be a (separate) project in an IDE. For a website with just HTML, CSS, JavaScript and such, there is little or no difference. The term web application implies that a server-side language such as PHP or C# is being used.

I have a request. Put your entire question in the body of the post; it is better to not require others to look at the title.
