Upgrading ram of an HP dv6568se

Hi, I have this laptop: http://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-DV6568SE-Laptop-Processor-Premium/dp/B000RNC4F4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

HP says maximum RAM is 2GB, has anyone tried to upgrade it over 2GB?

Thanks!

hi joaquin_win if you want to upgrade first of all check your Ram ports may be its maximum support 4GM of Ram and if it support more than 4 gb you need extra poer so first just check the ports

  1. Find out the speed of RAM (for example, 60 nanoseconds).
  2. Determine whether the computer uses single in-line memory modules (SIMMs) or dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs).
  3. Find out whether the computer uses regular, FPM, EDO, or Synch DRAM.
  4. Determine the number of pins on the motherboard: 30, 72 or 168.
  5. Remove the cover from the machine to find the number of open RAM slots. Look for between two and eight same-sized parallel sockets on the main circuit board. Usually at least two of those sockets will contain RAM - ruler-shaped circuit boards with chips on one or both sides.
