Has anyone here actually tried downloading apps from a third-party app store? I’ve only ever used the Play Store and App Store, but I’ve seen people mention other options. Some say you can get apps that aren’t available otherwise, but I also hear stories about security issues.
If you’ve used one, how was it for you? Did everything work fine, or did you run into problems? Curious to know what others think before I try it myself.
You do realize that, if it IS a security risk, your post is asking people to expose the fact that they’ve put a security risk into their phones to potential bad actors?
I always prefer to get my apps direct from the software vendor, not these “stores” if possible. If an app is written by anyone other than Apple or Google and comes from Play Store or App Store - that is “third party”.
That off my chest, yes I get some apps from the Play Store and haven’t had any issues.
