Take a look at my site and tell me why my page rank dropped!

Ok I know page rank really means nothing. But my automotive blog site dropped from a 3 to a 0 over the last week. I have not done anything to the site…no linking, no new posts, nada.

Can you take a look and tell me why the drop? In your opinion of course.

I do have alot of outbound links, but these are to the car dealers that have hired my company.

The site in question is:

http://www.bestnewautomobile.com

it still ranks well for its keywords, and it does NOT have a penalty.

I have used a couple of different tools to check the PR. And they all say ZERO!

Also it is not because of the backlinks…I have not lost any and have built over 1600 in the past year!

Well PageRank is calculated based on the number and the value of backlinks. If you haven’t lost any backlinks then it stands to reason that the value of your backlinks have dropped. By definition, that’s the only possible reason given that all the systems are working correctly.

Which brings me to my next point. Google doesn’t really publish what the true PageRank is. Yes, they issue a rounded number on a monthly basis and that’s what these websites tap into but it’s not the real value. Possibly there is some sort of problem and the true PageRank of your page is not being reported.

Oh, also make sure that you’re checking the correct page. I’m assuming that you’re referring to the home page of your blog and not an internal page. Each page carries it’s own PageRank and possibly you checked a different page.
