It is a new site and the page rank is 0.
Backlinks from web directorites are ok?
I know that content is king but I need some ideas to promote this site faster.

We’ve had that question asked before (just a couple of hundred times or so). If you want tips on how to improve your ranking in the search engines, please read the SEO FAQ, which goes into great detail on the subject, and have a look through some of the threads here in the forums.
We’re happy to help answer specific questions, but that question is so general that we won’t get any meaningful discussions, so I’m closing the thread now.
One piece of advice that I would give is … don’t worry about your PageRank at all. Worry about where your site appears in the rankings for relevant search queries. It’s much more important.
