Slow refresh in IE8

My site behaves unusually in IE8.

Every time I load a page it refreshes from top to bottom like the browser is loading the background image for the main content area very slowly.

I don’t think it is a caching problem. This does not happen in FF or Chrome.

Hi, I just loaded my page in IE8 and I did not see any slowness. It loaded just like Opera did
Some others appear to be having the same issue as you though I can’t offer a difinitive fix since I don’t really see it

Thanks,

I don’t think it is my browser since I have other WP templates on the same hosting account that load fine in IE8.

It is ok in FF, Chrome, Opera and Safari (WinXP).

I am new to coding my own sites and wonder if I have made some error. I built on Blueprint CSS and the site code is very simple.

There is no change when I remove the blueprint css code.

Comment out the entire CSS file except for the background image CSS and see if it fixes it.

If it does fix it, slowly add CSS back until you find the cause. I have to run but I hope it helps

Try fixing this problem by troubleshooting it with Add-ons disabled - blogsdotmsdndotcom/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113dotaspx (Replace the “dot” with a period “.”)

You can also reset IE 8’s settings by going to Tools > Internet Options, then the ‘Advanced’ tab, and then clicking the ‘Reset…’ button. That may work.
