How hard would it be to build a widget that let’s potential customers schedule an appointment with a mechanic?

(Or maybe there is already something like that out there that would work with PHP?)

You can google PHP calendars and you’ll get some options come up.

And it doesn’t matter if you find Google scary; does your client want Google calendar? Many people use it.

What do you - or others advise - for a way to book an appointment on a website, though?

I don’t just need a calendar - I need a way to check when someone chooses “Fri, April 17 @ 10:00am” that there is a free space, otherwise show that slot as taken or display an error.

(If I wanted to spend the next 4 months, I’m sure that I could “roll my own”, but that isn’t practical this time.)
